9:23p I swear if I didn't know better, I would think all of you were in on some elaborate joke where you all were pretending that the super flu a la The Stand was infecting everyone. I just keep waiting for people to start posting about how everyone is dying, and how you've each felt a pull to some city in the US depending on your goodness/evilness. I hope you all get better. :(

9:46a Playing catchup So much has happened the past couple of days that I haven't been able to update about. I'm sorry, I'm slacking! I've had a busy past couple of days. Saturday was spent at Mike's friend Dustin's house with a bunch of guys from work. I watched football, and surfed while Mike and the guys brewed and feasted on bacon explosion. The girls played with Dustin's oldest, Kaylah for most of the afternoon. They both love her and emulate her and I have to say, of all the kids they could copy and try to be like, Kaylah is the perfect choice. She acts much older than her age, she's intelligent, kind, thoughtful, a cheerleader! and just a plain good kid all around. After the guys finished brewing we went to B-dubs for dinner. I haven't been there in a while and they have a new bread pudding thingy for dessert. It was soooo good. I feel guilty just thinking about it! Sunday was Game Day at slinksgirl's house with bitterwinters, her husband, and kevinbelt. slinksgirl made some ridiculously good soup, so good that I repaid her by breaking one of her glasses and dumping it all over the floor. :( I am a terrible guest. But we did do We Cheer! as well as a couple of other games. I had a great time. I would have loved to have stayed longer. But I had to get home to see the birthday girl! Leah turns five today! So we celebrated on Sunday. I say "celebrate" loosely. I bought her a princess tent, and Mike got her a princess castle thing with an outrageously bad DVD. I baked her a strawberry cake with chocolate frosting. The frosting was awesome, the cake was dreadful. :( I will have to try a different recipe next time. She seemed to like it though. Yesterday we went to the Y and I had a pretty good work out. I still don't like working out there though. I'm going to work out at the gym here at work today and see if I can bench 135 again or see if it was a fluke. I'm pretty sure I can do it though! I'm down another pound, which is surprising. It's been so long since I've lost I'd almost given up. But now that I'm actively losing, I'm starting to concentrate more on what I'm eating and tracking my food. It's going well so far. I've even had treats and it's been ok! Hopefully it keeps going well. I think that's it. :) I hope you all have a great election day!
